Despcription:
The In4Green network aims to empower and increase the capacity of participating cities and their local actors from industrial areas to overcome obstacles towards the transition to greener economies, while remaining competitive and without exclusions cities. Taking into account the EU's objectives for a "greener, low-carbon Europe", but also the specificities of each region, the needs of cities must be at the heart of the process and they must assess what their policy priorities are based on opportunities and challenges for the green transition. However, the green transition cannot only involve public authorities: in the development and implementation of local policies it is necessary to actively involve all relevant stakeholders and civil society. In the framework of the the program the current situation and local conditions in the participating cities is recorded, while local groups will be created to discuss, evaluate and propose measures and actions that will constitute the Integrated Action Plan for each city. The program's actions aim to raise awareness and provide the necessary knowledge, tools and skills to industrial stakeholders, issues of fundamental importance for supporting the green transition.
